Name: Mr S Ord

Governor Responsibility: Vice Chair Member of the Finance, Premises and Staffing sub-committee. PE and Sport Premium Link Governor.

Experience as a Governor: Became a governor in December 2017 although this is his first governor role Mr Ord has been attending governor meetings in his role as Assistant Principal at Kenton. 

Experiences that support role as Governor: Mr Ord is Assistant Principal at Kenton School. He has been teaching for 8 years, having worked at Kenton in support roles from 2005, he was made Lead Teacher for RE in 2011 and then Head of Social Studies in 2014. He is responsible for the Post 16 provision available at Kenton, as well as the achievement and welfare of all Post 16 students. Mr Ord has supported his current role by taking key strategic decisions along with the headship team and governing body. He hopes to be able to make a contribution to the wider Newcastle school community, and Wyndham students in particular.

Name: Ms A Todd

Governor Responsibility: Parent Governor. Member of Performance and Curriculum sub-committee. SEND Link Governor.

Experience as a Governor: Became a governor in October 2016.

Experiences that support role as Governor: Mrs Todd first became involved with Wyndham School when her eldest son began reception in 2017, he is the third generation of his family to attend the School. Within a short amount of time he has begun to flourish both academically and socially, this attributes to the great support he has received from the staff and his enriched surroundings. Mrs Todd hopes to make a positive contribution to the school and wider community so that the schools outstanding reputation can be upheld for more generations. Having over ten years employment within the education sector Mrs Todd has a diverse understanding of various roles which are undertaken within a School. She is currently employed as a Teaching Assistant specialising in Special Educational Needs. Through her career experience and parents perspective she hopes to challenge the school to attain their aspirations for the future.

Name: Mr J Collum

Governor Responsibility: Co-opted Governor. Member of Staffing sub-committee and Portfolio Holder for Health, Safety & Premises.

Experience as a Governor: Became a governor in September 2020.

Experiences that support role as Governor: Mr Collum is a Chartered Accountant having qualified with Deloitte LLP in Newcastle upon Tyne. Mr Collum brings skills and experience in governance, risk management and compliance to the Local Governing Board in addition to financial management practices and internal control. Mr Collum is passionate about education and the role of school in the community to provide high quality education and a positive ethos for children to thrive through learning and enjoyment. He provides constructive challenge to leadership to support achievement of our aspirations for the behaviour, progress and attainment of all pupils, as well as a safe learning environment for pupils and staff.
